2015 World Championship: Measurer's Notice to Competitors No. 1

Attention all boat captains — the measurer team has advised that boats will be weighed at the time of launching. 

Please see the following procedures:

KEEL-WEIGHING INSPECTION:
· The boat shall stay on the trailer
· You will be provided the necessary items to hook the keel
· It is each boat Captain responsibility to check that everything is in place for the weight check and to supervise the operation in order to avoid any damage
· Two helpers of each team must be present at the time of weigh-in 

BOAT WEIGHING INSPECTION:
In order to be ready for the weigh-in inspection of your Melges 32:
· We expect to find the boat perfectly dry and clean, ready to be inspected
· The boat will lie on the trailer, not floating
· Straps and keel crane will be provided by the organization.
· It is each boat Captain responsibility to check that everything is in place for the weight check and to supervise the operation in order to avoid any damage
· Two helpers of each team must be present during the inspection
· For your convenience, herewith resumed please find a memo:

ITEMS to be on board:
· Mast with halyards, boom, bowsprit with tackline, vang and fixed equipment in place
· Rudder and tiller complete with extension on the deck
· Blocks
· Electric engine and batteries in place
· Instrument Bracket with displays and wind station
· Blower and engine box bilge pump

ITEMS NOT TO BE on board:
· All portable equipment as listed in class rules C.5 (First Kit, Anchor, Service battery, Buckets, Fair Extinguisher, Throwable Device, VHF,  two main companionway hatches, etc)
· Sails
· Gennaker, Jib, Main sheets
· Winch handles
· Personal Equipment.
· All covers, Internal nets, bow hatch cover
