2016 Gold Cup - Competitor Announcement #2

We are just over 2 weeks away from the 2016 Melges 32 Gold Cup and another stellar event is on tap. Below is a list of items to consider prior to arriving in sunny Ft. Lauderdale:

Crew Declarations - Crew Decs are due January 29th and can be completed in Yachtscoring under the "owners corner" on the main menu - http://yachtscoring.com/emenu.cfm?eID=1510

Sail Declarations - Sail decs will also be completed online through yachtscoring. These will need to be completed by 6pm on Thursday, Feb 11th. Once you enter the sails into the "sail inventory", you will be able to select the sails to declare.

Sanctioned Training Days - As stated in the NOR, 2 sanctioned days of training are permitted for the Gold Cup. Teams are allowed to calibrate instruments and perform sail checks, however no more than 4 members of the race team may be on board while sailing prior to Wednesday, Feb 10th.

2016 Class Dues - As a big portion of the functionality of the Melges 32 Class, class dues are due each calendar year and need to be submitted prior to sailing in an event. An annual allotment of sail buttons will be distributed in Ft. Lauderdale if you have not already received your buttons. Bahia Mar Logistics and Crane - If you have not already, contact Megan Legasse at Bahia Mar (mlagasse@rcibahiamar.comand confirm your dock slip, trailer needs, etc. The crane will be available on Monday, February 8th to step masts and launch, and available to haul on Sunday afternoon and all of Monday after the regatta.

TGIF Inga Party - From 7-9 pm after racing on Friday, Inga will be hosting a regatta party with daily awards and a bounty of food and drinks. More details will be available closer to the event, plan on attending.
