2008 U.S. Melges 32 National Championship : Very Important Competitor Information

Exactly one month from today, the 2008 Melges 32 U.S. National Championship will commence in Newport, R.I., hosted by the prestigious New York Yacht Club, held in conjunction with the sixth biennial edition of NYYC Race Week at Newport presented by Rolex, July 25-27.

In an effort to help all Melges 32 teams prepare for competition, please read the following information carefully and take action:

Several teams are already registered and ready to go head-to-head for what will be an amazing event!

Look for the entry form link on the right side of the page and follow, the system to complete your entry.
IT IS PREFERRED THAT YOU PROCESS YOUR ENTRY ONLINE.

WEIGH-IN
Weigh-in for all Melges 32 teams will take place on Thursday, July 24th from 1200-1800 at the Sailing Center, in the Arcadia Room. For those that require weigh-in early Friday morning, appointments must be made in advance with the IM32CA ADMIN. Registration does not begin until 1400.

REQUIRED FOR COMPETITION

MELGES 32 CREW/SAIL DECLARATION FORM
The deadline for submitting your MELGES 32 CREW/SAIL DECLARATION FORM (APPENDIX 3) is Friday, July 11th. Each team must fully complete and submit a Declaration Form prior to racing. Please be sure that all ISAF numbers are enclosed with each form, especially if you are NOT a CAT 3. Print legibly and make sure that the name provided on the form is the name as listed on ISAF's WEBSITE.

Sail button numbers and sail serial numbers are needed to complete your Declaration form. If you need to purchase sail buttons, please DOWNLOAD A SAIL BUTTON FORM then fax to +1 (262) 275-8012.

If you haven't already, make sure your 2008 Melges 32 Class Membership is current. ACTIVATE YOUR CLASS MEMBERSHIP TODAY. Class Membership forms can also be submitted by mail. DOWNLOAD A CLASS MEMBERSHIP FORM, then send to the enclosed address. Your membership must be valid prior to the event.
