When The Melges 32 Reigns, It Pours Junior Champions!

14 July 2009

In just a weeks span of time, the International Melges 32 Class is proud to congratulate the latest in a string of ‘Take A Junior Sailing Day’ candidates, this time 2009 U.S. Women’s Double Handed Champion Chanel Miller. In addition, the class also wishes a sincere congrats to Erika Reineke who hauled home the 2009 European Laser Radial Youth Championship!

Chanel sailed last December at the 2008 Gold Cup Regatta aboard Jim Swartz’s Q while Erika kept company with Kip Meadows on Roxanne. Swartz’s team took it to the last race, to only be defeated by Gold Cup Champions Marty Kullman and Mike Carroll on New Wave.
