Melges Service At Your Service - Attention Gold Cup Competitors!

The 2009 Gold Cup is destined to be a record breaker with twenty-six entries on the board. For those of you who plan to compete, it is necessary for you to check off several items on your list, including logistics – launching arrangements at Bahia Mar Marina. Please read the following information and take action!

Launching arrangements available at Bahia Mar Marina are as follows:

To try and keep costs down Melges Service is providing a crane only service for the 2009 Gold Cup event. Personnel will be on site to make sure that all scheduling needs are met, and required services are provided and recorded.

Reservations will be taken and all attempts to accommodate each vessels need for times will be made. 

Upon arrival to Bahia Mar, each trailer will be directed to the parking area, and a tag affixed to the trailer for identification purposes.

$500.00 USD includes 1 Each - Mast Stepping, Launching, Hauling, Mast Un-stepping
Extra Crane Time: $75.00 USD per 30 min.
Crane Services On Sunday Nov. 29th: $50.00 USD additional
These fees cover only the crane services. All parking, dockage, and hotel arrangements must be made thru Bahia Mar directly. Please contact Leslie at the Bahia Mar Dock Masters Office at +1 (954) 764-2233 for vehicle parking, trailer parking and dockage.  Boat trailer will be charged a daily storage rate from arrival to departure. Launching and Stepping:
Sunday November 29th - Afternoon - $50.00 additional fee
Monday November 30th - 9:00 am - 12:00 pm and 1:30 pm  - 4:30 pm
Tuesday December 1st - 8:30 am - 11:30 pm and 1:30 pm  - 4:30 pm
Wednesday December 2nd - 8:30 am - 1:00 pm

Hauling and Un-stepping:
Sunday December 6th - 4:30 pm till dusk
Monday December 7th - 8:30 am to 2:30 pm

The fees charged are to schedule and provide the crane only. No responsibility is acknowledged or accepted by Melges Service, its agents, or personnel, for the actual stepping, launching, and reverse of each vessel. Each boat owner, or the owner designated representative is responsible for all steps of stepping and launching the vessel, including trailer movement, mast stepping, lifting attachments, movement from the trailer to the water and the reverse. Each vessel must supply their own, adequate lifting gear.
