Media Push, More Melges 32

Slowly but surely, the twenty-three Melges 32 teams expected to compete in Ft. Lauderdale this weekend at the 2009 Gold Cup Regatta supported by Henri Lloyd are beginning to line the docks of Bahia Mar. In anticipation of the great racing that is yet to come, the International Melges 32 Class Association is proud to present the following list of media providers who will be offering up maximum event coverage. 

Guaranteed there will be thousands of photos, hours of video (racing footage and interviews, on and off the water) as well as the ability to track the action via GPS as it’s happening. So, if you are one of the unfortunate ones unable to leave the confines of work, home, family, friends and or other duties, you can still be a part of it. Just click and tune in.

RACE TRACKING
Racing officially starts on Friday, December 4, 2009 and keeping track of who’s in the lead, around the marks and across the finish line first, is none other than Kattack Performance Apps. Enjoy the thrill of the race after the race and see exactly what made the winner come out ahead. It’s easy and provides entertaining sailboat race playback.

PHOTOGRAPHY
Can we really ever have enough pictures of the Melges 32? Professional local, regional and international photographers are traveling to capture the action and deliver it online for viewing and/or purchase:

John Payne : Official Lauderdale Yacht Club (LYC) Photographer for the 2009 Melges 32 Gold Cup. Many of you have seen his incredible photos from year’s past and they are amazing. An LYC member, he will be showing his photos on the big screen each evening under the pavilion at LYC. He will also be posting on several web sites including Scuttlebutt.com as well as his Website.

Cindy Cady : Most well-known for her RACEBOOK-US, Cindy is a professional photographer based in Texas, but works nationwide generating some of sailing’s most exciting images. Visit Cindy’s Website.

Sailfast Photo : The lovely and talented duo of Sara Proctor and Amie Booth with Sail Fast Photo will be serving up the action too. In addition to some great shots, they are offering a special deal to a few teams on a first come, first serve basis of footage of your boat each day after racing to study sail shape, trim, starts and mark roundings. VIDEO & BROADCASTING
Sailing Anarchy : Naturally, On-The-Water Anarchy will once again be on hand to bring the racing to your computer screens. Short videos of the starts, mark roundings and finishes will be posted to YouTube. Race commentary, including interviews will be on tap as well as their
