Huge Success for the Melges 32 Warm-Up in San Remo

1 February 2010

Milan, Italy - This past weekend in San Remo, a warm-up for the Melges 32s was organized by Melges Europe with the collaboration of the Yacht Club Sanremo. Even if the breeze from the east had been light and had been slow entering into the bay, the crews have not taken advantage of the easy conditions to recover from the lack of training over the winter break.

"We are very pleased with the continued growth of the Melges 32 class," says Federico Michetti, CEO of Melges Europe. "The warm-up has proven successful because the training done in small fleets is much more effective than solo rehearsals. With this method of training, the crews will be able to optimize their time spent in the water." Finally, special thanks goes to Carlo Perrone, who has kindly contributed to the success of this event.

Stay tuned, as the International Melges 32 Class continues with the Primo Cup in Monaco, February 11-14.
