It was back in January 2009 that the French boat ‘Teasing Machine’ made its debut appearance in the Melges 32 class at Key West Race Week. Despite a fairly inauspicious performance at that regatta, the crew’s pedigree in the Melges 24 class strongly suggested that this team would ultimately make its mark on the Melges 32 circuit. Fast forward a year to the Miami Grand Prix Regatta, when the Teasing Machine crew, led by owner-driver Jean-Francois Cruette, lived up to those expectations by winning the twenty-three strong Melges 32 class with an impressive performance, which included no less than four race-wins. Offshore Rules caught up with Jean-Francois soon after his victory to find out more about the Teasing Machine programme and their win in Miami.
