Calling all Melges 32s — Quantum Key West 2013 is the perfect way keep your program running full steam ahead, not to mention it is simply an amazing event to attend. QKW 2013 also serves as Event No. 2 on the 2013 Midwinter Championship Series Circuit! Please take the time to read this very special message from Premiere Racing's Event Director Peter Craig and plan to GO!

Dear Melges 32 Sailors,
While winter sailing may seem far off, planning for Quantum Key West 2013 is well underway and I want to take this opportunity to touch base.

The 25th Anniversary edition of Key West Race Week was by all accounts a great success. We are looking forward to building on the energy and enthusiasm that was generated last January. The competition was world class and the evening socials at the Kelly’s Caribbean shoreside venue were very popular.

A Key West hallmark has been strong class racing and we are working to build numbers for both the longstanding and emerging fleets. Several people have already expressed positive vibes from many classes and other indicators point to another year featuring great competition.

Congratulations on your recent World Championship and record fleet in Newport – as always, the Melges 32 racing was as close and competitive as ever. Now that the championship is behind you we hope you are setting your sights on racing with us in Key West as you have in the past. As you know, it’s important to establish early critical mass given the fact that strong numbers attract even more entries. It would be helpful for you to enter now if you know that you will be racing with us next January. The online entry and the current entry list here. It is easy to do with the entry fee not due until later in December.

The classes are building with entries running ahead of the previous three years, which bodes well for terrific racing. We are routinely updating the logistics and planning pages on the event web site and the Notice and Conditions of Race is available Notice of Race here.

We look forward to delivering another memorable Key West regatta and to the prospects of having you and the Melges 32 back for the 26th edition of this winter classic. Ten races over five days for One Design, IRC, PHRF and Sportboat programs from across the country and around the world will make for a truly great start to the 2013 sailing season.

We’re always eager to hear what you have to say and provide what owners and classes want. If you have any news or notes about the Melges 32 class and other owners’ plans, those would also be helpful and much appreciated. I hope to see you in Key West next January and look forward to hearing from you.
