RACING RECAP: 2009 ACURA KEY WEST A MASSIVE SUCCESS FOR THE MELGES 32

If you want a boat that delivers — the Melges 32 is it! Congratulations to Melges 32 ACURA Key West 2009 Champion Jeff Ecklund — also named 2009 Boat of the Week! No doubt, the racing in this fleet is as tight as it gets. Throughout the event, very rarely did the fleet deviate from this concept. From start to finish, tack-for-tack and every downwind run, tables would turn, excitement all the way!

Jeff wasn't the only STAR of the week. International teams such as Joe Woods and his one-armed tactician (we hope you are feeling better Morgan!) to the brilliant talents of Marty Kullman and Mike Carroll's New Wave, Jason Carroll, Bill Faude driving Tom Neill's Nitemare, Alex Jackson and Derek Campbell all had a sensational week.

The class wishes a very sincere thanks to the team at Premiere Racing! You guys always do a tremendous job. The Melges 32 looks forward to more cool action in Miami.
